Saturday G/45 Quads

Today's Saturday G/45 Quads tournament featured 5 highly competitive quad sections and a bottom swiss section! In Quad 1, CT Player Steven Qvistorff won his section with a score of 2.5/3 points, congratulations! Qvistorff's only draw was in round 3 against CCFC Member Vedanta Bhargava, in an intersting variation of the Closed Sicilian Defense! Quad 2 was won by CCFC Member Karim Naba, who strongly dominated the section with a perfect score of 3/3 points! Naba has been increasing in USCF rating in all of his tournaments at CCFC so far, congratulations on the elo climb!

In Quad 3, there was yet another perfect score. CT Player Aaron Krayn strongly won the section with 3/3 points. This is also Krayn's first ever tournament at CCFC, congrats on the victory! In Quad 4, TD Carl Scovens dominated the section with a perfect score of 3/3 points, well done!

In Quad 5, there was a two-way tie for first between CCFC Member Max Zhang and CT Player Jason Chen! Both players ended the tournament with a score of 2.5/3 points, only drawing against each other in round 1, well done to both of you! Finally, in the bottom swiss section, NY Player Joshua Sloan won with a score of 2.5/3 points! Sloan's only draw was in round 3 of the tournament against CCFC Member Alex Fuchs! In second place, there was a two-way tie between aforementioned CCFC Member Alex Fuchs and Darren Wu. Both players ended the tournament half a point behind Sloan, with a final score of 2/3 points!
