Saturday G/45 Quads

10/6/18

There were many exciting results in all of the seven sections of this weekend’s Saturday quad tournament.  Expert Andrew Colwell, ranked 4th in his section, narrowly won the top quad with 2/3 points.  Cayden Yang went on a tear in quad two, scoring 2.5/3 despite being the lowest rated in the section!

First place in quad three was shared between Alexander Kupersmith and Luis-Joshua Casenas with 2.5/3 each.  There was another tie for first in the fourth quad.  Jared Schwartz and Jason Sunshine each scored 2/3.  Dr. Xinghua Wang and Nicholas Kurbanov finished in the third tie of the day, each with 2/3 in the fifth quad.

The endless ties continued in the sixth quad and six player swiss.  Erik Nebylovych and Nishant Jain scored 2/3 to share first in quad six.  The six player swiss had a remarkable four-way tie!  The co-champions were William Jones, Sophie Surguladze, Luka Surguladze and Charles Jiang.  Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you to all who came out this weekend!
