Round times: 9:30am then ASAP.

Game Analysis/Review with CCFC Coaches: 11:00-12:00pm

Format: 4 round swiss G/15, d0. This event will effect chess.com ratings only.

Tournament open to players in K - 12th grades.


Game Analysis

USCF membership NOT required. Players must have a chess.com account.

Players must join CCFC's Zoom online meeting with their camera turned on and microphone muted for the duration of the tournament. This is required for all participants. After registration closes, participants will receive an email invitation to the meeting. Once they join the Zoom meeting they will receive instructions on how to join the tournament. All players must join the Zoom meeting at 9:00am.

Games played in this tournament will affect online chess.com ratings only. It is not USCF rated.

Advance registration only. Registration closes at 8pm on 8/22.

Entry Fee: $20 CCFC Members, $30 Non-Members
Entry fee refunded to the highest rated player that registers.

By registering for this event, you give permission for images of your child, captured during participation in Chess Club of Fairfield County LLC programs and events through video, photo and digital camera, to be used solely for the purposes of Chess Club of Fairfield County LLC promotional material and publications, and waive any rights of compensation or ownership thereto.

Special Online Considerations:

-There will be no takebacks in case of a mouse slip.
- If a player disconnects and does not return in time to finish the game they will lose the game on time.
- In the event that the Chess.com server is down at the start or in the middle of the tournament, the event will be canceled and full refunds will be given to all of the players.
-Players that do not join the Zoom meeting on time or join the tournament prior to the start time will not be eligible for a refund.
- The Zoom meeting will be recorded. Recordings will be stored in case there is a need to reference it later, but will not be dispersed or shared. All participants should be prepared and willing to share their screen with a tournament director if requested to do so.
- Any player caught cheating, i.e. getting assistance from another person, computer device, or other material, etc., will receive a ban from participating in any future CCFC event including online and in person.
